‘No story is the same all the way down to pain of your grief’

Helen Lovelock – Kent-Based Celebrant

Hello I'm Helen and I come to Funeral Celebrancy from a previous career as a Family Liaison Officer in primary education.I had the privilege of working with many families, supporting them through significant traumas and significant successes. The role was as equally challenging as it was rewarding.

Every day was different as I was never sure what situation I would be presented with. It taught me the importance of patience, just listening, being still with a family when everything else seemed chaotic.

I know that those experiences helped me focus on the importance of kindness, respect, professionalism, courtesy, reassurance, consistency and working collaboratively.

I love to craft and tell stories…

A glorious goodbye is exactly what I aim to create for your loved one’s service. It is a privilege and honour to get to know the character, impact and life story of your loved one so together we can craft the most personalised and fitting goodbye.

Grief and the process of grieving is unique to every single one of us. It does not recognise time or logic. It is not predictable or tidy. There are moments when it will take your breath away. I truly hope that through the process of meeting you and your family, listening to the joyous stories and memories of your loved one and creating our unique celebration of their life, it provides a little relief from the pain of your grief.
